On Friday we celebrated my mom's birthday! First, we started the day out by making a trip to the Aveda Institute to get haircuts. Elise got to go next door & play with Kaylie while we went. For $15 - it's a great deal...however, it was over 2 hours before we were done. I guess that's part of the bargain. For the birthday dinner, John grilled his famous steaks & mom requested cheesecake!Happy Birthday, mom. So glad we could celebrate with you this year.
Other big news on mom's birthday is that Elise went poo on the potty for the first time. Yes - a little crude to mention, but we laughed that we'll remind Elise of this momentus moment when she's older - that grandma June will remember this was a little "gift" to her from Elise....too funny! She's showing lots of interested & will go very frequently during the day - so we're starting a new era here with life with a toddler.
